Each suite tells its own story, through bespoke panoramic wallpapers created from historic watercolour paintings of Killarney National Park as it appeared two hundred years ago, and handcrafted furnishings sourced from local artisans. Our namesake and design inspiration, Killarney National Park, is a 26,000-acre UNESCO biosphere reserve of pristine wilderness and breathtaking scenery. Just a two minute walk from the hotel gate brings you to its ancient oak forests and Ireland’s highest mountains, home to the country’s only wild herd of native red deer.
Songbirds, red squirrels, badgers, and foxes inhabit the trees and undergrowth, while peregrine falcons and white-tailed sea eagles soar above shimmering glacial lakes and cascading waterfalls.
