Ring of Kerry
The most famous of Ireland’s Day Tours is The Ring of Kerry. The circular route is 177km / 110miles of rugged coastal scenery and offers some breathtaking photo opportunities and the chance to visit many picturesque villages along the way. The route can be done as a self drive day trip or guests can opt for a private Chauffer drive or join one of the many scheduled tour groups. Please enquire with our Concierge Desk for more details during your stay at one of the most popular hotels Kerry has to offer.
Ring of Beara
Forming the coastal boundary between Kerry and Cork, the Beara Peninsula is one of the great touring areas of the south-west. It is a stunning area of rock studded mountains and green valleys, peppered with prehistoric stone circles, standing stones and old tombs. This scenic route will take you through the villages of Eyeries, Allihies, Castletownbere and Glengarriff.
Gap of Dunloe
This narrow pass (approximately 7 miles long) between MacGillycuddy’s Reeks and The Purple Mountains near Killarney begins at Kate Kearney’s Cottage and ends with a descent into The Black Valley. Visitors pass five small lakes on their travels and an old arch “Wishing Bridge”. You can choose to either explore this beautiful mountain valley by car or visitors can opt for a guided tour which offers a combination choice of boating, walking, horse back riding or horse-drawn trap. After your day trip, check back in to the finest accommodation Killarney has to offer where you can relax and unwind!
